For All My Coily Girls (Curl Types 3c-4c)
Coily Hair Sculpted Cut
Here’s what to expect…
THE 4 PHASES OF THE CUT
The Dry Cut
Please come in with your hair detangled, dry, in its natural coily state (refer to the FAQs if you need additional information)
I go through and cut each coil to both clean up the ends and sculpt a shape to create style to the hair
If the hair is straight or blown out I can not properly give the coils shape
A Visit to the Washing Station
I throughly massage and cleanse the scalp. I make contact with every inch of the scalp to stimulate growth and slough off any dead skin or debris
I throughly rinse out all cleanser and debris
I condition hair by starting at the end and working the conditioner up to the strand unitl I get to the scalp. I do this with my fingers to evenly distribute the conditioner and detangle the hair. The heat from my hands also drives the conditioner deeper into the hair.
I rinse the conditioner out lightly

It’s Drying Time
You sit under the dryer until your hair is dry. I do this because I can not tell the true length of your coil until your hair is completely dry.
Detailing the Cut
I go back through the hair to check for any damaged tips that may have been missed in the initial cut, and refine the shape of the hair. This helps to optimize the outcome of the hair cut.
Along with the cut I walk you through the styling process and how to replicate the process at home.
My typical coily client who doesn’t straighten their hair comes in for a cut 2- 3 times a year.
Timing: 1 hour and 45 mins - 2 hours and 15 minutes if it takes longer because of tangles or density an extra fee is applied
